Bridge of Sighs – Venice, Italy

View from the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri). This enclosed bridge connected the legal chambers of the Doges Palace to the prison. Prisoners walked this enclosed walkway after their sentencing on the way to the prison next door. The name suggests that prisoners would sigh as they saw their last glimpse of beautiful Venice. #trekarooing #familytrip #familytravel #travelwithkids #takeyourkidseverywhere #venice #visititalia #visititaly #italy #italia #lpkids #parentswhowander
