Took a spur of the moment drive at dusk to Punta Gorda, a Garifuna town founded in 1787 when 3,000 Garifuna deportees from San Vicente were stranded by the British. We met Michael, who was helping out a friend and served up fresh red snapper and pork chops, which we enjoyed while sitting in a stilted palapa over the water. #trekarooing #visithonduras #roatan #neverstopexploring #familytrip #familytravel #optoutside

  1. I’m glad you are getting fresh nutritious foods and staying comfortable! Straw huts on stilts remind me of the Philippines. I like that tree you photographed.
